PM Vishwakarma Scheme 2023: This time from the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi announced the launch of Vishwakarma Scheme, the countdown for which has started. PM Modi will launch PM Vishwakarma Yojana on 17th September on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. The Central Government had announced the launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana in the Union Budget 2023-24. The financial outlay for this scheme has been kept at Rs 13,000 crore from financial year 2023-24 to financial year 2027-28.

Traditional skills of artisans and craftsmen will get a boost

The Finance Ministry office said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the PM Vishwakarma Yojana on September 17. The objective of the scheme is to promote and strengthen the practice of traditional skills by artisans and craftsmen working with their hands and tools. The aim is to improve the quality as well as the accessibility of our Vishwakarmas products and services.

Toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000

According to the ministry, under the scheme, a toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000 will be provided to the beneficiaries. Along with this, basic skills training will be provided to the beneficiaries with a stipend of Rs 500 per day. Its objective is an effort to uplift the Vishwakarmas, connect them with the mainstream of development and make them self-reliant by providing benefits.

These people will benefit from the system

Let us tell you that in this ambitious scheme, the Central Government will provide assistance to 1. Carpenters, 2. Boat makers, 3. Gunsmiths; 4. Blacksmith, 5. Hammer and toolkit maker, 6. Locksmith, 7. Goldsmith, 8. Potter, 9. Sculptor, stone breaker, 10 1. Cobbler/Shoe maker/Footwear artisan, 11. Mason, 12. Basket/mat/broom maker/coir weaver, 13. Doll and toy maker (traditional), 14. Barber, 15. Garland Maker, 16. Washerman, 17. Tailor and 18. Fishing Net Maker.

Vishwakarma certificate and ID will be given

Under the scheme, any one person from 30 lakh families will be connected. Under the scheme, loan assistance up to Rs 1 lakh (first installment) and Rs 2 lakh (second installment) will be provided to those people with a concessional interest rate of 5 percent. Apart from this, PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID will be provided after registration through Common Service Centres. Under the scheme, attention is being given to skill development, market access and economic support of the people associated with these works. They will be given basic and advanced training. Incentives will also be given in digital transactions.
