Despite the rise in Nifty futures, the domestic stock markets opened with a decline today i.e. on Monday. Today, BSE Sensex was trading at the level of 67,578.25 points with a decline of 260.38 points or 0.38 percent. Similarly, NSE Nifty was trading at the level of 20,125.40 points with a decline of 66.95 points or 0.33 percent. In early trading today, shares of Easy My Trip saw a rise of five percent and shares of Vodafone Idea saw a rise of three percent.

Apart from these, shares of Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Wipro, TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel, Maruti, Nestle India and HUL were trading with red mark.

On NSE IX, GIFT Nifty was trading at 20,187.50 points with a rise of 21 points or 0.10 percent. This was indicating that the beginning of Dalal Street on Monday could be positive. However, the opposite trend was seen in the pre-opening session itself when Sensex witnessed a fall of 110 points while Nifty was trading below 20,175 points.
